Abstract

It is the position of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and Dietitians of Canada (DC) that efforts to optimize nutritional status, including medical nutrition therapy, assurance of food and nutrition security, and nutrition education are essential components throughout the continuum of care available to people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.

L'American Dietetic Association (ADA) et les Diététistes du Canada (DC) soutiennent que les efforts en vue d'optimiser l’état nutritionnel, notamment le traitement médical et nutritionnel, l'assurance de la sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle ainsi que l’éducation en nutrition, sont des composantes essentielles de l'ensemble des soins offerts aux personnes infectées par le virus de l'immunodéficience humaine (VIH).
